The school we have chosen is a Catholic primary school in Manly. The teachers teach Stage 2. There are no Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students at the school. The teachers have previously included dot paintings in the creative arts program but they know very little about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples' histories or cultures.

Beach life and the sea are very much part of the local culture.
